Trump Officials Face Criminal Contempt — And This Is What Poilievre Wants for Canada Danny I.P. – No Retreat. No Surrender. April 16, 2025
The news just broke: a U.S. federal judge has found “probable cause” to charge Trump administration officials with criminal contempt of court for blatantly violating a judicial order halting deportations of Venezuelan migrants.
Let that sink in.
This isn’t political theatre. This is a sitting president’s administration being told—by the courts—that they willfully ignored the law. That they put their ideology above the rule of law. That they acted as if power had no limits. And they did it all under the Alien Enemies Act — a wartime law with racist, authoritarian roots that Trump is now repurposing to terrorize migrants and silence opposition.
This is what a government untethered from accountability looks like.
And this is exactly the path Pierre Poilievre is walking us toward.
He idolizes Trump’s tactics. He parrots his language. He dodges vetting. He attacks the judiciary. He defends convoy extremists. And like Trump, he treats migrants, addicts, journalists, and dissenters as enemies of the state.
Don’t kid yourself: if Poilievre ever forms government, this is the direction he’ll take Canada. A war on immigrants. A war on justice. A war on truth. A war on the Charter itself.
And it’s already started in Alberta. Danielle Smith just passed legislation to detain vulnerable people without consent. The courts haven’t even ruled on it yet — but the ideology is identical. Do what you want. Ignore the law. Silence the critics.
This is what happens when we let fascism creep in under the banner of “law and order.” It’s not about safety. It’s about power. Unchecked, unaccountable, and unconstitutional.
To every Canadian still thinking “it can’t happen here”—look south.
It is happening.
And if we don’t stop it at the ballot box, we won’t stop it at all.
Vote. Early. In person. Drag your neighbours. ABC: Anyone But Conservatives.
The courts are holding Trump accountable.
It’s up to us to make sure Poilievre never gets the chance.
