This time, they’re pitting “hope” against “fear” in a lazy attempt to mock Liberal voters for being motivated by the threat of Donald Trump.

Let’s clear this up: fear of fascism isn’t weakness — it’s vigilance. And anyone telling you otherwise is either dangerously naïve, or worse — complicit.

Canada Proud, a partisan propaganda machine masquerading as a grassroots movement, is doing everything in its power to normalize extremism, launder Trumpism into Canadian discourse, and shield Pierre Poilievre from scrutiny. And that chart? That’s not data. It’s psychological warfare. It’s designed to shame people who see the danger coming — the danger that already arrived south of the border.

Here’s the truth they’re terrified of:

• Yes, we fear Trump — because he’s in his second dictatorship.

• Yes, we fear Poilievre — because he’s parroting Trump’s words, tactics, and authoritarian playbook line for line.

• And yes, we fear what Canada becomes under a leader who refuses security clearance, aligns with foreign dark money think tanks, and has no economic or moral credibility.

Canada Proud wants you to believe that voting with fear is irrational. But fear is what wakes you up when democracy is under siege. Fear is what drives people to stand up, organize, and resist. And right now, it’s not fear that should be mocked — it’s the blind obedience to a man who’s selling Canada out to the highest bidder.

Conservative voters claiming “hope for a better future” need to define what that future looks like. Is it privatized healthcare? Environmental collapse? American-style culture wars? More billionaires, fewer workers’ rights? That’s not hope. That’s a hostile takeover in slow motion.

And Canada Proud? They’re not proud of this country. They’re not fighting for its values. They’re fighting for power — for the corporate elite, for fossil fuel billionaires, and for an ideology imported from a country that tried to destroy itself on January 6.
